The perfect “home away from home” from which to discover and enjoy San Miguel, this charming two bedroom casita is a favorite of visiting artists and language students. Situated near the Instituto, it’s a flat walk only minutes away to Ancha de San Antonio with its many shops, galleries and restaurants – another 5 to 7 minute walk takes you to El Jardin and the Parroquia.

Your entry is a secluded courtyard patio with outdoor sala (living room) and lots of seating and entertaining space. Inside, comfortable sofas, covered in bright native handwoven fabrics flank the tile-decorated fireplace. The dining area is adjacent to the efficiency kitchen which has a handsome blue and white tiled counter from which you can enjoy your morning coffee and gaze out into the flowering vine-covered courtyard.

The master bedroom has a comfortable “matrimonial” double bed with mesquite headboard. The guest bedroom has twin beds and also overlooks the courtyard. The casita has one very pretty bath, the shower-tub artistically tiled in blue and green, and inset into the matching counter of the sink is a charming talavera pottery sink handcrafted from the nearby town of Dolores.

There are numerous artistic details throughout the casita that make this a truly comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.
